Job openings can be transmitted to job boards such as StepStone. This can be done via interface or through the Send Job Advertisement function.
Job boards can retrieve data from the interface in two different ways. When setting up the interface, you should communicate to the job board how the data should be retrieved.
Both options have different advantages and disadvantages.
Retrieval via the job publication ID
Each publication automatically receives an ID from the system. When the publication is activated, the ID is passed to the interface. The job board reads this ID and posts the job opening.
Attention
If a job opening is to be reposted, a new publication must be created for it, as only new IDs are posted. This new job publication generates a new ID, which serves as the trigger for the job board to post the job opening.
Retrieval via the list of job publications in the application portal
In this case, the job board checks at an agreed frequency which job openings are included in the interface and posts them.
Attention
You must ensure that job openings are not kept active for longer than the posting period agreed with the job board (e.g., 60 days) in the ON status in the job publication channel. If the job publication remains active even one day longer in your d.vinci system, a new runtime is generated. This will be fully charged by the job board, even if the job was only online for 61 days.
Note
The calendar icon next to the job publication channel in the job publication can help you track this. Additionally, you can create reminders for the job opening.
This option requires strict monitoring by you and your colleagues.
You decide which method to use and should actively communicate this to the job board.
