Field schema configuration refers to the modification of field properties. Through field schema configuration, you can define whether fields should be mandatory, optional, or hidden.
Configuration
Areas where you can modify the field schema configuration are marked on the right side with the wrench icon . The icon is only displayed for new elements, such as when creating a new job opening or a new publication.

Editing existing elements
When editing existing elements, the option to configure the field schema is not displayed. This option is only available when creating new elements. The new element does not need to be saved for this. -
Note when creating new elements
Changes to the field schema configuration during the creation of a new job opening, publication, or hiring request should be made before entering text into the form fields. Otherwise, the fields will be cleared when you save the field schema configuration. -
New Fields
Through the field schema configuration, you exclusively define the status of fields (mandatory, hidden, optional) that we have previously provided. The list of fields provided by us can be found in the respective articles mentioned in the section Areas with field schema configuration. Field schema configuration does not add new fields.
New fields can be added depending on the area of application via screening questions (in the applicant form) or through form fields or forms.
How our customers use this
Field schema configuration is often used during the setup of your d.vinci system to ensure that all users only see the fields that need to be filled out. Sometimes, changes are made later. These changes often require internal communication to inform colleagues about how to use the new field or why a field is no longer available.
